Swoon Ceramics began as a small, home-based studio in Cape Town — bright, bespoke, and a little bit magic in the way one-of-a-kind pieces tend to be. What started in the kids’ playroom has slowly grown into a studio with its own small, loving team, still intimate enough that every piece is genuinely handmade and one of a kind.
Each piece is an artistically crafted, one-of-a-kind handmade ceramic good, with a focus on interior décor and lighting — vessels, vases and sconces made to bring warmth and character into a home. Because everything is made by hand in small batches, quantities are limited and lead times matter.
About Aimée
Behind Swoon Ceramics is Aimée Linde, working from her home studio in Cape Town. She was full-time momming when she picked up clay almost by accident, five years ago now — and what began as a hobby quickly grew into a passion, and then a business, alongside three young boys, two large pups, and usually something home-cooked in the oven.
It’s a studio built between school runs and bedtime, where every client’s needs are considered in the making of each piece. Aimée’s focus always comes back to the moment her customer switches it on, lights it, or sets it glowing — the experience a piece brings into someone’s home, long after it leaves the studio.
